Every once in a while the left in Europe generates a thinker who will dare to think out of the boxed-in mindset of most Europeans. Ilka Schröder , a German Green MEP, is one such thinker:

"The primary goal of the EU is the internationalization of the conflict [in the Middle East] in order to underline the need for its own mediating role... the Palestinians are playing the ugly role of being the cannon fodder for Europe's hidden war against the US."

Here's more of her in her own words.

It would be nice to see this kind of honesty and bravery in Finland.

I read the article, this Ilka Schröder is out of her mind. It's true about the money wasted to non-existing projects, i am also wondering for years about this waste. But this conspiracy thing is total crap, she must have smoked too much of that homegrown green stuff. The EU has wasted money, they do it all the time, it has nothing to do with "anti-jewism", everything with paralysing bureaucracy. Let this person come with clear facts!

Agreed.

Germany has been hauted with these WW2 ghosts, with deliberate exploitative incentives, by external (you know who) and internal parties. I wish Germany would eventually come to it's senses.

But probably this milking is getting harder to accomplish. Germany has long been under recession with 5 million unemployed, and it certainly has its hand full to recover former Eastern part of the country. How can it justify to waste its taxpayers money to support the military adventures of Israel?

Yes, I blame Germany as being partner in the crime of giving lavish and gratis support to Israel (the second biggest after USA), to fuel Israel's military-industrial complex. This huge support has been created a deterrent in Israel's domestics politics, as they have now this general feeling of invincibility, that hinders them to negotiate for realistic solution with the palestnians.

But at least some improvent has happened. All military support with the Israel shoud be cut immediately.

Mol9, I agree with you on EU:s wasting of funds. I think EU and individual European countries are planning to double their funding to the Palestinian Authority (unfortunately I don't have link right now, I try locate it and give it later). Shouldn't EU find out what happened to funds that where sent in the past first. I think it would be for the best of the Palestian people, too.

BTW Thanks for giving link to your homepage.

Antti, wouldn't it also be best for you to not to be in denial of what's happening in Israel?

So far, it seems your'e Puntti's only hangaround here (aka 'useful *****').

Puntti, start from yourself and begin writing with your real name and contact info.

You seemed to be so hideously timid about your true self. Time to come out for real. Whaddya got to hide from us?

"Germany has been hauted with these WW2 ghosts, with deliberate exploitative incentives"

I can understand both sides, and won't criticise either, but the amount the Germans have given to Israel is truly astonishing. The last number I saw - which admittedly was around 20 years ago - was DM 80 billion, so they must have given more than the US has (The US gives around $3 billion per year, including military aid).

"Puntti, you first"

Is it fair to ask him that?

He's just someone who's p*ssed off, because he's self righteous and practically no Finn will ever agree with him. He thinks Finland should be a little America.

Doesn't mean we have to know his name.

Let him have his rant. He'll lose.
